MISSION MIRACLE 2

Conversion Story
It all started when I was 12 years old. My mother and I were going for a night walk and a sense of evil overcame me and left me feeling terrified. I told my mother as I was upset and she told me we were going to take a moment of prayer. After the prayer I felt a feeling of love, security and warmth with a happiness I have never felt before. From the time onward my testimony for my faith in Heavenly Father grew. Just a few months ago from now I overcame tough trials that life had in place for me. Just when I had no idea what to do in my life, he planted seeds of dreams in my heart and life changing opportunities were created. Following the Holy Spirit’s prompting I was set to go to Brisbane for University, not knowing why but I was prompted not to question Heavenly Fathers plans for me. I came from a small community town called Sarina so I had no idea how I was going to live in a big city with no one. Wanting to live a righteous life in this big city, I prayed to heavenly Father asking him to find me an Anglican church to be confirmed in. The next day my friend, a member of the LDS church, Natakka Alberts made contact with me and called in for a visit. She invited me to attend the church with her and I felt a strong prompting from the Holy Spirit telling me to accept this church. Not knowing about this church, I was totally against the idea.  We met up with the missionaries the next day and they clarified everything for me. Later that night, just before bed I took a moment of prayer and asked Heavenly Father so sincerely if those things were true. The Holy Spirit responded with filling my heart up with happiness and I knew from that moment that those things were true! I made the decision that I wanted to get baptised. Soon after that I lost the desire to curse, fill my body with toxic or bad drinks because it was the closest things to happiness I had ever felt in my whole entire life! I was spiritually awakened and within days my testimony for the church grew immensely. Every day I had lessons with my missionaries, Elder Kono and Elder Nagato. They taught me so much about the plan of salvation, the restoration of the gospel, all of the commandments, the prophet Joseph Smith and so much more. The more I exercised faith, the more miracles were made. The more I acted upon my faith by listening to the promptings of the Holy Spirit, the easier it was to battle the devils temptations.  Within those short 2 weeks I overcame many trials. The scriptures and prayer opened up my communication with Heavenly Father and my testimony in Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ grew. My baptismal day was the best day in my whole entire life! I felt that I truly did make my first covenants with Heavenly Father. The empty hole I had in my heart had been filled with heavenly Father and Jesus Christ’s unconditional love he has for us and I have never in my life endured such an indescribable happiness then what had felt that moment. I was reborn. I have finally retuned into the arms of my eternal Father and I’ve been filled with the desires to go out and share the gospel with the world. It inspired me to go on a mission! I’ve already grown a testimony in tithing because Heavenly Father has already blessed me with giving me back double my tithing money within hours! I have a strong testimony to every single one of the commandments because I know that Heavenly Father knows what’s best for us. I believe that Joseph Smith is a true prophet and Thomas S Monson is a true living prophet today! I believe that Jesus Christ lives today because he comforts me endlessly. I’m ever so grateful to be blessed with amazing missionaries, friends and church members who all love and care for me. As I go through more trials in life, I will always remember to reflect my baptismal day and remember my covenants with Heavenly Father. As I partake of the sacrament I will always remember the ultimate sacrifice that our Saviour, Jesus Christ had made for us. I write these precious words in the name of our Saviour, Jesus Christ.

Amen          Madison
