TRIP OF A LIFETIME....

You are never too old for 'FIRSTS' in life....
We had a wonderful visit from my parents, Rollie & Phyllis Bestor, who at age 82 traveled from Salt Lake City to Brisbane Australia (21 hour experience) to see what their daughter and son-in-law were doing so far away from home.  We had an amazing time together having them a part of the Australia Brisbane Mission
for ten days.  They enjoyed beautiful weather, singing birds, missionaries, lovely flowers and trees, missionaries, trip to the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, missionaries, Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary holding a koala and feeding the kangaroos, Church at the Chermside Ward, Eumundi Market, Mission Leadership Council meeting with missionaries, Southbank and Ferry on the Brisbane River, missionaries, and lots of wonderful evenings with the cool breeze and sunsets.
It was so incredible to share this experience with them.
I am so grateful for the decision you made with our family to be baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints...my life is forever changed!
Love YOU dear parents
Portside where the cruise ships dock...."FIRST night in Brisbane"

It was a beautiful day....little did we know that this very day at the time we were cruising up the Brisbane River,  Prince Andrew and Kate were stopping at Southbank for their Brisbane visit; a "FIRST" for them and a "FIRST" for us.
"FIRST" time meeting my dear friend, Jackie

Always making friends....Phyllis met Mary who was singing at the Davis Park Market "FIRST" thing on Saturday morning.

"FIRST" time feeding a kangaroo, and petting a kangaroo

Feeding the kangaroos (never did use the wheelchair, but used it to push).

She was seriously singing to the Emu ("FIRST" time even seeing one)--they had quite a connection.
First time feeding the Lorikeets....and having them land on your head!

Couldn't come to Australia and not have a "FIRST" time holding a Koala

FIRST time in the beautiful Gold Coast:  Rainbow Beach

"FIRST" time seeing a custard apple....along with other new things to eat

  1. Yor parents can't be 82 that makes me almost 57 (in August). You are definitely a Bestor the whole family has that same heartwarming smile. I loved your mom for being in my life at a time when I needed guidance and someone to care. She saved my life back in the 8th grade I owe her so much.

  4. On the off chance that you have endured a fender bender damage in any capacity because of another person's lack of regard out and about, you can petition for an engine vehicle mishap claim. Thanks for sharing about Brisbane family lawyer.
