FAMILY VISIT

We love meeting the families of the missionaries...there is no doubt that these missionaries are who they are because of their parents; we are grateful for the wonderful sacrifice families make to allow their sons and daughters to join us in the Australia Brisbane Mission.
WE LOVE YOU ELDER FA'OA & FAMILY

MISSION MIRACLE

MISSION MIRACLE

We have been so privileged to be involved in the converison of this great man.  His conversion began from reading the books "Celestine Prophecy" and then "The Tenth Insight" and since then he has felt like his life has been guided.  He met the missionaries through one of his friends that was the member of the church. In the last couple month since he has met the missionaries, he has had his prayers answered in many ways.  One night after he had been praying for a couple of days if he should be baptized he woke up in the middle of the night and his head was in turmoil.  The question he asked is what's the worst that could happen if I don't get baptized.  This turmoil led him to wonder why it happened and then he remembered his prayer and decided that he would be baptized.  His baptism went well and the feeling of the Holy Ghost that he had after his Baptism and Confirmation were wonderful.  He describes these feeling as being full, it's like he had a part of him he never new was missing and now it is filled.  His Daughter is also loving the Gospel :)

MISSION MIRACLE

This beautiful convert is truly, "a chosen vessel of The Lord." She is incredible! Her friend, soon to be a missionary in the Philippines, invited her to church one week, and she has been attending and learning ever since. In such a short time she has learned, accepted, and embraced the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The baptism took place October 18, 2014, and was confirmed the following day. Despite her shyness and fear of public speaking, she bore a sweet testimony, part of which ran as follows:  "I know this is the true Church, and I know this is the church for me." She seems to have always lived a life of good which, no doubt, is pleasing to The Lord. Doctrine and Covenants section 35 says it best: "And there are none that doeth good except those who are ready to receive the fulness of my gospel, which I have sent forth unto this generation." She is one of these who brings forth good works, and has been long prepared to receive the fullness of His Gospel. She was chosen before she was born, and will do so much good for her friends, family, and all those she meets. We are so proud of you and are so grateful to have been a part of your eternal journey. Never give up, and never forget the great blessings the Lord has in store for you. We love you, Elder Smith and Elder Madson

MISSION MIRACLE

This sweet lady has had quite the journey, from growing up in a Christian home to becoming one of the newest members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She was found through the friendship of a wonderful family in Tallai Ward after being neighbours and friends for some time. She would often have the kids over, spoil them, "load them up with sugar, then send 'em back!" in her own words. Haha! She and the family became very close, and soon, the fellowship family invited her to meet the missionaries. Many missionaries came and went throughout the following year and a half of investigating the Church, each touching this wonderful lady, and yet she still felt like she wasn't ready to convert to the Church. However, through her faith, prayer, and diligence, she received the answers to her prayers and decided to join the Church of Jesus Christ. Many challenges and trials tried to stop her in her path, as we find too frequently with our friends who are approaching baptism, but through her sacrifices and love for The Saviour and her family, she joined the Church on June 26, 2014. We love her dearly, and know she is and will continue to be a great tool in The Lord's hands for good, and that she and her family will be forever blessed because of her love and diligence and long-suffering for the will of the Lord. Thank you to all the missionaries and members who helped in her conversion, there are many. We and she will be forever grateful. We are so proud of you!
All our love, sincerely, Elder Smith and Elder Coles

MISSION MIRACLE

This wonderful man was baptized in the Capalaba Ward. Elder Fusitua and Elder Iereneo taught him the lessons.

MISSION MIRACLE

This is the Brassall 2 Missionaries, Elder Hodges and Elder Motufau.  He is a great new convert to the church. His family was met GQ'ing outside Booval Train Station, and when we went to their home for the visit,  Elder Tino met with him also for the first lesson. The rest of his family turned out to not be too interested, but this man's strong faith carried him all the way to the baptismal font with very few concerns. And the great faith of his fellowship member was a strong factor in that. He was baptized on September 27, 2014 and has a bright future ahead of him!

MISSION MIRACLE

First met this family, a while back when we first came into this miraculous area, called Marsden. This family has had missionaries working with them for the past 12 months. Whereas they have been taught and taught the missionary lessons, numerous amount of times. This young man didn't have a desire to be baptised a while back, and he was not yet prepared, due to other commitments that were on Sunday. But, we were able to continue working with this family for a while. Elder Kenney was transferred and Elder Packer came into the picture. This family was still on our radar to continue to help them move forward. Week after week, followed by month after month, signs of slow progression was being made. First started with the mother whom made her way back to church, whereas she has never set foot in a Chapel since she was 14 yrs of age. She now is in regular attendance. Sunday for this young man came free. His father is not  a member of our faith, gave him permission to be baptised only according to his own desires. Which then came with an invitation to be baptised, which he happily said, "YES." We set a date, which was pushed back a week later due to sickness.  In his own words, he expressed; "I never expected to feel how I did." This miracle has changed this young man, and now he understands how important this Gospel, the Gospel of Jesus Christ is to the world.

MT. ISA CONFERENCE WEEKEND

We love our trips to MT. ISA
where the rain is rare, but the love is THERE!
We loved watching the broadcast of General Conference with the stalwart Saints in the Mt. Isa Branch:
Feasting with them in Spirit and body.
Meeting with the great Missionaries: 2 Elders & our wonderful Senior Couple.
Sharing priesthood advancements, presidency re-organizations, and setting apart new callings, and even a birthday celebration of a very special lady.
Crying with them over the loss of one of the Branch Members; a beautiful wife, mother and friend who leaves behind her husband and two little boys.
Our prayers for this sweet family.
