Mission Leadership Council December 2017

In the final mission leadership council of the year, the Zone Leaders, Sister Training Leaders, assistants, and President McSwain discussed our efforts over the past year, and where our focus will lie in the coming year. Elder Tai and Elder Tewes gave a great training on zone accountability, the assistants gave one on the meal program and President presented his direction on what'll happen in 2018. He said he had never seen a more powerful group of missionaries than there are now. We are excited for the work ahead of us in 2018!

Departing Missionaries December 2017

Many good missionaries headed for home this month. The left some departing advice and testimonies before boarding the plane and flying home. We're grateful for their service and leadership. We wish them the best of luck for their future lives!

How the Missionaries Found Me 2017

We showed this video at the Christmas conference as a tribute to those who have set their sights on Christ by following His example by being baptized. We also thank the hard working missionaries who have sacrificed to preach the restored gospel here in Australia. This video features many recent converts explaining how they met the missionaries. We hope that each one of these precious souls will stay true and faithful to the path of discipleship!

Christmas Conference 2017!

It's that time of year! All the missionaries that could gathered together at Karawatha Chapel on Thursday for a great Christmas Conference. We started with a spiritual devotional with readers and Christmas hymns to celebrate the Savior's birth. Then we shared our favorite scriptures from the Book of Mormon reading challenge that we've been a part of these last couple months.

We shared lunch together and each zone participated in a production about Elder Rudolf, the red-nosed Golden. We had a great time enjoying one another's company and commemorating the greatest Gift given to mankind through the Lord Jesus Christ. He is the reason for the season!

Mission Leadership Council November 2017

We always love the opportunity to receive counsel and instruction from President McSwain. The Zone Leaders and Sister Training Leaders of the mission gathered together today to stand accountable for their zones and to be trained by President and the assistants. We discussed reports, baptismal interviews, the mission vision for 2018, and heard the spiritual testimonies of several of our mission leaders who are going home this transfer. Here's to another successful MLC!

Mid Transfer Goldens Nov 2017

Today we welcomed four new missionaries who have come to the ABM to serve the Lord! All arrived safe and well from the New Zealand and the Philippines MTCs. They have all been assigned to be a part of Sister Bown's wonderful English school, although Sister Tarati will also be serving with the Kenmore sisters. We are so happy to have these great missionaries!

Golden Arrival November 2017

Wednesday: We received a golden intake of new missionaries! We are so excited for these Elders and Sisters to begin the greatest journey of their lives! All arrived well and safe and were happy to meet their trainers. Their golden spirit will bless the mission and the lives of those they teach, and they will go on to lead and be of great service to the Lord and His children.

Departing Missionaries November 2017

Unfortunately every good missionary must one day go home. Today we got together with the departing missionaries for a temple session, dinner, and a devotional to end their missions on a spiritual high. We also filmed their departing statements, their last advice they could give to servants in the Lord's vineyard. We hope these missionaries return to become powerful leaders in the church. We ask the Lord to bless them in their futures. God be with you until we meet again, Elders and Sisters.

Two-in-one FHE with Logan and Brisbane zones!

October was an INCREDIBLE month for breaking goals throughout the whole mission! Logan and Brisbane zones got the chance to have a barbeque and a family home evening with the McSwains at the mission home. We had a great time and hope these great Elders and Sisters will continue to go out there and smash it!
