WELCOME TO THE AUSTRALIA BRISBANE MISSION
President & Sister McSwain
...new Mission President and wife called to preside over the greatest mission in the world.  
We have felt connected to this wonderful couple the minute it was announced through the Church News that they would be presiding over the Australia Brisbane Mission.  We could feel the sustaining of the call and we were so thrilled for the mission/missionaries as we felt their excitement for the work.  We know this is the work of God and He absolutely knows who needs to take the reigns at this time in the mission.  Prayers have been pouring out from the mission since their call and we recognize God's hand in preparing them in every way for all they will do for the Australia Brisbane Mission.   
THEY ARE GOING TO LOVE IT!  We know they will be blessed, as we have been, with amazing, new experiences that will enrich their lives more than they can imagine.  They will come to know and love so many wonderful people, especially the missionaries.  They will enjoy the beauty of Australia with its blooming splendor, delicious food, and unique history.  
How grateful we are for the McSwain's and their dedication to God's will; sacrificing three years to serve the great people of Australia in this mission.  They are filled with love for the Gospel....they are filled with LOVE. 
We will continue to pray for them, the missionaries, the members, and every facet of the missionary work in Queensland.  

  

CHERMSIDE WARD FAREWELL June 2016

There is nothing like having a Ward to call "home"---and we did while we lived in Brisbane.  We were members of the Chermside Ward in the Brisbane Stake.  We loved the great people in the Chermside Ward and the way they welcomed us the very first Sunday (which happened to be the first day) we arrived in Brisbane to begin our mission.  We are so very grateful for the dear friends we have in that ward.  You showed us around and connected us to the area, you served the missionaries....you were missionaries, you let us be Home Teachers, you blessed us in so many ways!  We may have traveled around the mission much and were not able to attend our "home" ward as often as we would have liked, but always felt such a part of the unity and love in the Chermside Ward.

We welcomed the final group of missionaries into the Australia Brisbane Mission during our tenure....it was a small, but powerful group of missionaries that came from the United States, Australia, Laos, New Zealand, and Taiwan.  JUNE 2016

FINAL VISIT TO CAIRNS: JUNE 2016

WE LOVED OUR FINAL VISIT TO BEAUTIFUL CAIRNS.....so many dear, wonderful people we have come to love!  There is a rich Gospel culture that has brought many people together from all around the world and they embrace each other with Christ-like joy.  Our hearts are bigger because of all that we felt the past three years and especially in our final farewell of cultural music, dance, food, along with a beautiful Sabbath of church, photos, hugs & kisses.
