HEARTFELT FAREWELL SISTER ARSENEAU -- FEBRUARY 2016

We will certainly miss Sister Arseneau; she has made the Australia Brisbane Mission a better place with her beautiful smile, unforgettable laugh, and dedicated service.  
One of her many assignments was to oversee the missionary flats; during this last year and a half, Sister Arseneau helped oversee more than 110 flats, replacing 39 flats which helped to better the living standards for the missionaries, along with many wonderful service missionaries from the stakes around Queensland....some who have served for many years, we thank you too! The flats in this mission are greatly improved through Sister Arseneau's service in the office, with their help.  She also helped to improve the knowledge and understanding of how to be more respectful and responsible with the use of mission-owned flats and vehicles.  She understood how sacred the funds are that are used for the physical well being of the missionaries, and she helped the missionaries understand that these funds represent sacrifices by church members...SO, we understood better how to take care of these things.    
Her attitude, energy, and willingness to accept even the most difficult tasks were an inspiration.  She has been an example of selfless service in the Kingdom. 
We are all better because we have served with Sister Arseneau.....

INTERVIEWS/FLAT INSPECTIONS: BRISBANE NORTH & CLEVELAND

15 FEBRUARY 2016
Our rounds of INTERVIEWS/FLAT INSPECTIONS have begun.....we have officially started our mission travels to each ZONE to inspect the flats (Sister Henderson's job) and interview (President Henderson's job).  The Assistants also come along and review/train the missionaries on their Daily Planners and inspect their Area Books.  It is such valuable experience with the Elders & Sisters.  You can get an excellent feel for so many things, and understand better the best way to help them.  
We started out with BRISBANE NORTH & CLEVELAND for our first week.

MT. ISA VISIT: FEBRUARY 2016

We love our visits to Mt. Isa.....
The great Saints of the Mt. Isa Branch are strong and faithful.  We always come away from our weekends there filled with renewed energy for the work and increased love for those who are in the remote areas of the mission. 
We have four wonderful missionaries serving in Mt. Isa....they are working hard, working smart, and working miracles. 

Elder & Sister Bates, full time live at home missionary Senior Couple, have been coordinating visits, teaching dance classes, demonstrating flower arranging, instructing the Gospel Principles class, helping the Elders, and loving everyone.  Here they are with the full time Elders serving in Mt. Isa.

CAIRNS DISTRICT CONFERENCE: FEBRUARY 20-21, 2016

We enjoyed a beautiful weekend in Cairns with the Members, Missionaries, and the Australia Brisbane Mission Presidency.  It was a weekend filled with wonderful training, teaching, and testifying.  We love the great Branches in the Cairns District:
