RETURN MISSIONARY VISIT DECEMBER 2015
We always see why a missionary is so great when we meet his/her family! It was a treat having Elder Lunt and his family come and visit in Brisbane.....good to catch up, talk about the good 'ol days in the mission, share some updates on members, investigators and friends, and remember the wonderful feelings only felt when serving with all your
HEART, MIGHT, MIND & STRENGTH!
You are great, Elder Lunt, and your family is great too!
WELCOME to our NEW OFFICE SISTER MISSIONARIES
We feel that angels have come to bless the Australia Brisbane Mission:
Sister Dever, Sister Vande Merwe, Sister Denton
We are blessed to have these 3 wonderful Senior Sisters join the Mission Office. They are settling into their respective areas of emphasis after being trained by their predecessors and they will be GREAT!

MISSION MIRACLES December 2015~~
There have been so many wonderful convert baptisms
taking place in the Australia Brisbane Mission. We wish we had pictures
and stories of all of them, but we post what we get from the Elders
& Sisters when they come. It is such a beautiful thing to see the
smiles on the faces of these brand, new converts
(the smiles on the missionary's faces are pretty great too!)

RM VISIT: ELDER PORUTU FROM FIJI
We had a ABM mission legend tell us that "RM" stands for "REORGANIZED MAGNIFICENTS" They are magnificant and we love to see them when they come to Brisbane to visit!
We welcomed an Elder who served well and he was able to come and spend an evening at the mission home while we had a celebration dinner for the Cleveland Zone. It is powerful for the missionaries to hear from these MAGNIFICENT missionaries and Elder Porutu bore a fervent testimony to the Elders & Sisters that evening.
We are so proud of Elder Porutu and his commitment to the Lord.....even stronger than when he left!

WONDERFUL VISITS....NOVEMBER 2015
It is wonderful to welcome back to Brisbane, missionaries who served with us since we arrived in July 2013. We have had several come and visit in November and WE LOVE IT!
A special welcome to the Caby's....we loved seeing this family!
It is true what President Henderson has always said....he will hug and kiss your children and your grandchildren to see the light of the Gospel in their faces.....he shares Elder Eyring's quote at every Welcome Golden training and departure counsel...and it is powerful.
AND THERE SURE WAS "LIGHT" COMING FROM THIS SWEET LEANIE!
FAMILY REUNION NOVEMBER 2015
It was a special visit for one family who had a son serving in the
Australia Brisbane Mission and his twin brother serving in the New Zealand Mission.
The ABM Elder surprised his parents in the Brisbane International Airport (they had planned to pick him up at the mission office...) They then traveled to New Zealand to pick up their son serving there and then traveled with the family in New Zealand. We were blessed to meet with them when they returned back to Queensland to travel around the mission here. After meeting their wonderful family, we understood why their son was such a powerful missionary.
A special connection: As we were talking together in the mission home, we discussed their hometown in Nebraska and realized that they might know our daughter-in-law, who served her mission in the Omaha Nebraska Mission. After showing a picture to them, they realized that not only did they know Sister Ray, she served in their ward and she had eaten many a wonderful meals and had some beautiful, spiritual experiences in their home. ... small world!

MISSION HOME VISIT: OCTOBER 2015
We have loved meeting so many wonderful people while in Queensland and there is always an instant connection with those families who are living here from the United States. Many are here working, some are here visiting, others are here for family. When we first arrived, we were welcomed to the area and the ward by
THE JOHNSON FAMILY
We appreciate how they "adopted" us; we have enjoyed Family Home Evenings, Pie nights, Home Teaching visits, and pop in visits. They have moved from Brisbane to Gladstone and it is extra fun when we travel to Gladstone to see them and have them stop and visit us when they are in Brisbane.
We LOVE YOU!

THE JOYS....IPSWICH ZONE NOV 2015
The JOYS of working hard...setting goals and making plans!
The IPSWICH ZONE set a new standard with "contacting"
We love to recognize those missionaries (Districts, Zones and Companionships) who are realizing the fruits of their labors. Seeing the JOY of inviting others to COME UNTO CHRIST: it requires extending yourself, realizing those you come in contact who would like to "know more" and reaching the hearts of those who are ready.
*A little icecream to celebrate is fun too...thanks Elder & Sister Richins!

DEPARTING MISSIONARIES - NOVEMBER 2015
God be with you till we meet again;
By his counsels guide, uphold you;
With his sheep securely fold you.
God be with you till we meet again.
Every six weeks we silently sing this beautiful hymn as we watch the departing missionaries leave this mission to return home to their families. They walk into the airport as beautiful, new creatures in Christ having experienced such an incredible refining time in their life dedicating the past two year/eighteen months as a missionary. A loving, excited family awaits them on the other end of their flight and then
LIFE BEGINS!
We pray for you every day....
