It has been a great journey for these two great men. One has been through some huge experiences in his life. He has previously served as a marine while living in California, he attended the church a few times over there and enjoyed the good feelings and the good people around him there. He then landed himself in Tasmania, Australia for various reasons following his move to Queensland to start the next chapter in his life! He was originally referred to the Bunya Forest sisters by his relatives in the Bunya forest ward who taught him the first 2 lessons. Interested in learning more, he began attending the Enoggera ward (his ward) with Roger Fulcher (his relative), then Elder Kahi and Smith resumed working with him from there. He has been gleaming and beaming since learning and feeling the Gospel truths!
The other was found through door-knocking nearly 6 months ago. It has also been a long journey with him and it has taken a lot of patience on his part with his less-capable wife. From the first time we introduced the Book of Mormon and gave him a copy, he began enveloping it's pages! He is a great example to his family.
Both of these brothers are now preparing to receive the Aaronic priesthood and to enter the House of the Lord to preform work for our ancestors.
What great men! We pray that they may receive the much needed support as they begin the journey on the path to eternal life.
