We met this wonderful young man through his mother because she was a recent convert herself. First time we met he was a really smart boy for a 9 year old; his mother and his sister got baptized before him even though he was older than his sister. The reason was because he was living with his grandmother and his grandmother was a part of another faith. As me and my companion kept visiting him he came up to me and my companion this one time and said "I want to get baptized!" We were so happy that he wanted to get baptized. That same week on Sunday he walked up to our bishop and said "I am getting baptized soon". It brings great joy that this young man desired to be baptized and to be able to enter into the kingdom of our Father in Heaven.

MISSION MIRACLES
THIS WONDERFUL NEW CONVERT was going thru a rough patch in her life and she reached out and contacted two religions to see if they could help her. One of them was the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. and within a week the missionaries arrived (Elders Dunlop and Parkinson). She took it as a sign that this is who God had sent to help her. She began accepting the gospel and seeing increased happiness. it took her only a week to quit smoking completely and she has never relapsed. She began making friends in the church and her whole life began to change. Her family laughed at her, friends turned against her, but she knew what she was supposed to do. On June 28 she was Baptized by Brother Seoni into the Church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints. she was also part of the 105 joyful June. She is continuing to grow and is looking forward to the temple. A great example of the mighty change.
This new convert is a father from PNG who is in AUS for 2 years getting a business Masters Degree. He turned down a spot on the PNG rugby union team so that he would be able to have a better place to raise a family. He has 4 children now. He met the missionaries while tracting and started to take the lessons. He is a very intelligent man but also has much faith. He began to progress rapidly; he had no car so he needed lifts to church, but he is fiercely independent so he even attempted to walk once. He was very late and tired and decided not to try that again. Soon he was on date for Baptism; the only road block was his wife who was very pregnant and he had to take care of her. Once the baby came he was baptized on August 30th by Elder Morrow. He has since received the Aaronic priesthood and looking forward to going to the temple. His kids said they want to be baptized now too!
