When we first met this new convert, we were teaching his sister and helping her return to church. At that time he showed no real interest in the church, and was not really interested in meeting with us, but we continued to return to meet with his sister. Then, when he finally did meet with us, he gave us a riddle. "Can God make a burrito so hot that he himself cannot eat it?" or, in other words 'if God is all-powerful, can he make a situation where he can't do something?' He then promised that if we could answer the riddle, he would come to church, read the Book of Mormon, and be baptised.
THIS IS NOT THE REASON WHY HE WAS EVENTUALLY BAPTIZED, although the conversation was fun, and helped open discussions. The main reason why he has been baptised is because from the beginning, he has been an example of diligence. When he has committed to come to church, he comes, when he commits to read, he reads, and while he has been doing all of this, the testimony that he had before began to emerge. It has been a miracle that we met him, and encouraged that conversion, and in the end he was baptised on the same day as his 8-yr. old niece.
