WELCOME TO THE AUSTRALIA BRISBANE MISSION
We are excited for the arrival of another great group of missionaries joining this still-growing mission; we have 263 missionaries in the field, including Elders, Sister & Senior Couples. Welcoming new missionaries at the airport is such an exciting experience as we watch them walk from customs down a hallway (we can see them on a surveillance monitor before they actually come out the doors where we are waiting and they are filled with smiles and anticipation).
Many of them have been flying for hours coming from the Provo Missionary Training Center (MTC), they actually lose a day of their life as they travel halfway around the world. Those coming from the New Zealand MTC wake up around 2:00 a.m. to get ready and get to the airport to fly to Brisbane. We have a few missionaries who come from the Philippine MTC and they have been making many different stops on their journey to get to Brisbane.
This great group of missionaries came from Tonga, Philippines, Samoa, United States, Japan, Cambodia, Australia, Candada and New Zealand. |
The anticipation waiting to find out who their Trainer will be.... |
Two great Elders realizing that they were roommates years ago at EFY....both traveling all the way to Australia to meet each other again. |
