MISSION MIRACLE

This great convert was found contacting by Elder Miller and Elder Hodges.  He came to the door like he hadn't slept in a couple days and told them to leave something like a pamphlet so he could go back to sleep.  They gave him a Gospel of Jesus Christ pamphlet, pointed out the number on the back and went on their way.  Later they got a call from him and he told them to come by sometime.  They continued to meet with him and shared the Book of Mormon with him.  He was a long time bible college student and really had to do a lot of investigating.  Eventually he was adopted into the ward family and fit right in.  One thing was still holding him back; he was averaging 10-15 cups of coffee a day and smoking 30 cigarettes a day.  As he continued, he quit drinking coffee with the massive support from the ward.  He was progressing leaps and bounds until the road got rocky.  He decided he no longer wanted to meet with us and go to church.  We prayed for inspiration on what to do, when we came to the conclusion to write to him our testimonies of the Gospel and the restoration of it.  Eventually after receiving it, he picked us up again and after being away a few weeks.  He struggled on giving up his smoking and wasn't sure he was going to make it, when the ward decided to give him a priesthood blessing.  After the blessing he hasn't touched or picked up a smoke or coffee and was soon baptized.  He has already become a veteran in the restored Gospel and is working towards receiving the Aaronic Priesthood.
