So... this is a wonderful new convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She is an amazing 16 year old girl! She had been called by Elder Taylor who actually called the wrong person with the same name in the phone. She was willing to meet us and when we saw her it was totally the wrong one. luckily we continued to meet her and get to know her and she was a great investigator. She had been investigating the church for a very long time! the first time we met her was back in September!!! it was really an epic journey. So we had a problem with having her parents approving the baptism. she was ready to go into the water of baptism back in October and then sadly after a lot of prayer and fasting things fell through. We continued to teach her and help her as much as we could to strengthen her testimony. Transfers came and Elder Navas left the area and Elder Taylor left. Elder Chynoweth received Elder Hsiung and we taught her for a little while then she moved back to china for visiting her family and she said she would be able to talk with her mom and dad face to face. well after some patient waiting and some emails given to her and keeping an update on how things were. In the end of January she surprised us in coming to the office as we were teaching the lesson!!!!! So we were able to meet her and then we were able to talk to her about getting baptized. She said she would let us no later about the permission. She texted us that night and said that she was talking to her mom and dad now and told her to wish her luck. Elder Hsiung and I immediately prayed for her to receive permission! then a few minutes later we got a text saying " I got it!" It was a miracle and she was able to be baptized this past Friday! amazing things happen to those who are patient!!!!
