Golden Arrival November 2017

Wednesday: We received a golden intake of new missionaries! We are so excited for these Elders and Sisters to begin the greatest journey of their lives! All arrived well and safe and were happy to meet their trainers. Their golden spirit will bless the mission and the lives of those they teach, and they will go on to lead and be of great service to the Lord and His children.

Departing Missionaries November 2017

Unfortunately every good missionary must one day go home. Today we got together with the departing missionaries for a temple session, dinner, and a devotional to end their missions on a spiritual high. We also filmed their departing statements, their last advice they could give to servants in the Lord's vineyard. We hope these missionaries return to become powerful leaders in the church. We ask the Lord to bless them in their futures. God be with you until we meet again, Elders and Sisters.

The following missionaries left for home this transfer: Elder Rossi, Elder Iufoni, Elder Edmonds, Elder Panelo, Elder Evangelista, Elder Soakai, Elder Peacock, Sister Costa, Sister Hoiesi, Sister Ding, Sister Rongthong, and Sister Tang.

Two-in-one FHE with Logan and Brisbane zones!

October was an INCREDIBLE month for breaking goals throughout the whole mission! Logan and Brisbane zones got the chance to have a barbeque and a family home evening with the McSwains at the mission home. We had a great time and hope these great Elders and Sisters will continue to go out there and smash it!

Double-up FHE with Centenary and Ipswich zones!

Due to a goal-smashing month of October, Centenary and Ipswich zone got to have dinner and fun with President and Sister McSwain, President and Sister Salanoa, and President Hannett at the St Augustine Heights chapel. Great job to the wonderful Elders and Sisters that serve in these zones. We are so proud of them and we're so happy for their hard work and diligence!

Mid-transfer Goldens!

Mid transfer goldens are always a nice surprise! We welcomed Elder Smiley, Elder Lee, and Elder Fung to the mission. We're looking forward to seeing them at Golden Orientation with the goldens coming in a few weeks! Our office elders, Elder Cummings and Elder Morris, stood in for President and Sister McSwain since they were in far north Queensland.

According to the law of conference, the ABM assembled to receive revelation, inspiration, and enlightenment from President McSwain and his assistants. The conferences involved trainings on obedience, breakout sessions, and real plays focusing on teaching five minute lessons from Preach My Gospel. We enjoyed lunch together and set out with a higher vision for hard yakka!

Mission Leadership Council Sep 2017

Once again, the Zone Leaders and Sister Training Leaders of the Australia Brisbane Mission attended MLC to be trained by President McSwain and the assistants. This month's MLC focused on obedience, and how we can step up our mission to perform better in the coming months. We resolved to work hard, commit to hastening standards, and see miracles as we work with all our might, mind and strength!

As is the case with every transfer, we said goodbye to five great missionaries who completed amazing missions in the ABM. They came to the mission home for dinner and a testimony meeting, then they left the next day back to their homes to share the light they have been infused with while serving their missions. As the golden sunrise swept over the east coast of Australia, a airplane arrived with a group of spiritual, amazing, spiritually amazing missionaries from the MTC. We are super glad to have them here to help us further the Lord's work here in the ABM! Welcome goldens! Excited to have you here to serve with us. Now go forth and do good!
